Thank you, Veterans!
Our Veterans Day assembly was a memorable event. We were honored to welcome over 100 guests who served our country. It was a privilege to share this day with our local veterans and their families. We are fortunate to have members of the armed forces among our Columbia Central Jr./Sr. High School staff. Thank you to these special people for your contributions to our country:
Mr. Robert Ridel, Staff Sergeant, US Army National Guard
Mr. Leo Aponte, US Navy, Petty Officer 3 Class.
Thank you to all veterans for serving our country and protecting our freedoms.
On Veterans Day we honor all,
Who answered to a service call.
Soldiers young, and soldiers old,
Fought for freedom, brave and bold.
Some have lived, while others died,
And all of them deserve our pride.
We're proud of all the soldiers who,
Kept thinking of red, white and blue.
They fought for us and all our rights,
They fought through many days and nights.
And though we may not know each name,
We thank ALL veterans just the same.
