Flash Meeting Common Concerns-Answers
- Dress Code- 4 identified Red book states:
- Students should dress appropriately for learning in a positive educational environment. Dress must be appropriate for the age level, sufficiently modest and in good taste. Each school will establish guidelines for appropriate dress. We spoke with each grade level at the beginning of the year and said" if you are exposing your body parts(chest) or (butt) (belly) you would be asked to change.
- Math Materials(4)- I contacted the company on Friday and Daniela did on Sunday to order the missing supplies, I hope to hear back on Monday about the expected arrival.
- Hallway question due to closed doors-Ss may not work in the pods if the teacher is not present with them. (Doors should be closed)
- Additional Skyward Training(3)- I will check with Central Office
- Google Classroom Posts- Non-negotiable everyone must post assignments in the classroom if there will be a grade. Staff may use sites or the stream to post announcements/materials but no grade is attached. (In the future Sites seems like a great option to organize materials and announcements but we all need time to learn.)
- The motivation of 8th grade Ss- maybe the point system might work, but nothing replaces a teacher, an engaging lesson, and positive relationships.
Board Recognized
Congrats to our #sd113a Board of Education on being 1 of 24 Boards of Education to earn the IASB's School Board Governance Recognition designation! @ILschoolboards @Bertrandtom
#oqmskindnessmatters
If you ever want to see our students shine as leaders and witness compassion, look no further than our reverse inclusion PE class. In this class, students volunteer to help focus the class on helping our students with special needs. Simply Fantastic.
Keyboarding Skills
Mrs. Anderson's Ss have quickly integrated keyboarding skills thanks to the SD!!#A Educational Foundation.
Mrs. Raymond Ss give her feedback
Mrs. Raymond used her PLN to get this neat idea, glad our teachers are constantly growing! Hey, that is one of our CORE values!
