Elections were recently held virtually for Carver's School Site Council (SSC). Let's congratulate our newly elected SSC members.

In just a few short weeks we will witness democracy in action as they count up the votes from the county, state, and federal elections. You are encouraged to register to vote for the November 3 election! Today is the last day to register to vote. Not sure if you're already registered to vote? Or perhaps you just want to check your status? You can do that, fast and easy, at headcount.org. Every vote matters!

The Splash Award is an award that families can nominate their students for. Each month we will honor students who earn this award. Splash award nominees should be students who have shown courage, patience, self-love, or been exceptionally helpful at home. Click the cheetah to submit a nomination form.

5th Grade Families

You are invited to the SFUSD PreK-12 Virtual Enrollment Fair from November 6-13, 2020. If you have a child starting prekindergarten, kindergarten, middle school, or high school next year, you are encouraged to attend this event! Talk to principals and school staff, learn how to apply, watch videos about each school--all conveniently online. You can also attend workshops to learn about the enrollment process, how to apply for special education services, and more.

The Boys and Girls Club Beacon at Carver is accepting applications for virtual programming. Virtual programming includes ZOOM academic support for students during the school day and virtual enrichment programs like Video Game Academy, Digital Art, and Virtual Fitness. Carver Office Hours

The Carver office will be open for phone calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am - 1pm. For health and safety reasons all in-person visits must be scheduled. To schedule an appointment, call 415-330-1540 on Tuesday or Thursday between the hours of 9am - 1pm. Also, when visiting campus be prepared to fill out a COVID 19 Contact Tracing form. You may be asked to scan a QR barcode and/or fill out a paper log. The information collected is not shared and is used to contact anyone who may have been exposed to COVID 19.
