Great Barrier Reef Vacation!
July through October are the prime snorkeling months
You will stay in Port Douglas, Australia.
Port Douglas is a spectacular one hour drive north of Cairns on one of the most scenic coastal roads in Australia.
You control your adventure!
Snorkeling
Port Douglas is the closest mainland town to the Great Barrier Reef, and so the best reef tours depart for here. Companies like "Wavelength" are snorkel-only boats with great personalized service and they are especially good with people with no or little snorkel experience.
The Sunday Market
Open every Sunday, right in the center of Port Douglas, between 8 in the morning and 1:30 in the afternoon, the markets have a huge range of local arts and crafts. These colorful seaside markets are a great place to get a taste of the locals like artists, farmers, tradesmen and craftsmen. A great place to find survivors.
Hospitality and food
Port Douglas has spa resorts, hotels, and villas within walking distance of great restaurants from hole-in-the-wall to gourmet. All around something to fit everyone's needs.
What you'll need!
Well for starts you need a up to date and valid Passport. And don't worry there aren't any strange deadly diseases.... most of the time. Just kidding you'll be fine! Just be careful if you venture into the Daintree Rain forest which will be in your back yard if you get bored at the reef.
