(RECURRING) Earbuds For Sale in the WES Office!
Is your child in need of earbuds for their Chromebook or iPad!?
If so, the WES Office will be selling replacement earbuds for $1 starting after Spring Break!
(RECURRING) WES Devices: Chargers, and Cords Going Home
If/when a child is sent home for COVID related reasons, we want to ensure that each student has everything they need to meet virtually with their class(es): This includes sending home a device, charging brick, and cord.
Our Tech Department does a wonderful job of ensuring that these items are placed in a Ziploc bag with a note for each child.
As a reminder, if the charging brick and cord are not returned upon your child's returning to school, for grades KG-2nd, a $5 fee for each the charging brick and cord will be assessed to your child's account. For grades 3-6, a $20 fee will be assessed for a missing Chromebook charging brick and cord.
If items are misplaced or forgotten, we will send home a reminder to return the item, but if the charging brick or cord is not returned within 48 hours, that $5 fee will be assessed until the items are returned.
If you have any questions, please contact Principal Fuller at pfuller@jgsc.k12.in.us
(RECURRING) Boys and Girls Club Information
Starting this school year, the JG Before and After School Program is transitioning into the Boys and Girls Club to provide before and after school care for our elementary students.
You should have received an email from Mr. Davis earlier this week, but if not, please click HERE for more information on the program.
With any new program, there will be some bumps along the way, but here are TWO UPDATES that will hopefully alleviate any stress:
- The wonderful individuals you have gotten to know with John Glenn B/A Care will be back as part of the Boys and Girls Club Program!
- The service will start our first day of school, Wednesday, August 11th
Please register for care as normal. If you have any questions about the program, please contact Mrs. Heather Harrison at hharrison@jgsc.k12.in.us

Principal Fuller's Thoughts
The end of the school year is getting close.
Kids feel it....teachers feel it...parents feel it...
As teachers and students begin wrapping up an amazing 2022-2023 school year, I often remind myself to stay grounded in the moment and to not look too much toward next year, as there is a lot of planning that goes into preparing the next school year.
Oh the time we spend rolling around ideas in our heads, imagining the what-ifs, coming up with the PERFECT scenarios for how something will work.
The truth is, most answers reveal themselves through doing and not thinking.
We spend a lot of time trying to 'figure out' the prefect scenario, that we often overlook the plan right in front of us.
No matter how clueless you may feel in the moment, pay attention to the suggestions and opportunities brought to you by people you trust.
Don't reinvent the wheel...and start with one step at a time.
Sometimes when big events are on the horizon, we can get so lost and worried sick about the lead-up that we lose focus of our enjoyment in the moment.
Don't overthink...aim small miss small, right?
School is ending soon...let's close out this year STRONG and focus on the now!
