Things DTC's need to know in April

Test Booklet Serial Number Report

Go to Reports > Orders > Test Booklet Serial Number Report in the Assessment Management System and select a month and year from the drop-down menu to access the report for your district. The Test Booklet Serial Number Report will be available on the same date as the Materials list available date indicated on the Calendar of Events. ETS will continue to send the bar code file, containing serial numbers to PC Pal Solutions, RAMIS, and Test Hound for districts who work with these vendors.

If testing personnel discover during the administration week that a student has not recorded his or her responses on the answer document, district testing coordinators may grant permission to trained school personnel to view the secure test booklet. If the student marked responses in the test booklet, the trained personnel may transcribe the answers from the test booklet onto the student’s answer document following the general transcribing procedures.

STAAR Grades 4 and 7 Writing Answer Document Issues

APRIL 2019 STAAR ADMINISTRATIONS

  • The April 2019 STAAR Grade 4 English Writing Test Booklet will NOT include a form number. For students taking the STAAR grade 4 English writing test during the April 2019 administration, districts should grid “01” in the FORM # field on the grade 4 writing answer document.

  • For students taking the STAAR grade 4 Spanish writing test, districts should grid the appropriate test form number (as indicated on the April 2019 STAAR Grade 4 Spanish Writing Test Booklet) in the FORM # field on the STAAR grade 4 writing answer document.

The April 2019 STAAR Grade 7 Writing Test Booklet will NOT include a form number, and there is NOT a FORM # field on the answer document. In addition, the grade 7 answer document has more spaces for answer choices on the answer document than there are questions in the test booklet. Test administrators may tell students that they will not use all of the spaces for answer choices. There are 36 spaces on the answer document and only 30 multiple-choice questions in the test booklet. Students may cross out the last six spaces on the answer document.
