A Message from Mrs. Hankins
We had a great kick off to celebrate the season with our jointed UCE and JSE PTO hayride. We appreciate all of the donations to make a great evening for our Union Township families.
Today we send off our fifth graders to Camp Goodfellow for a wonderful hands-on experience! Thank you to the families and staff for helping make this a successful adventure for our students.
Don't forget that this Friday is picture day! Bring your smiles and check the flyer below for ordering pictures.
Have a wonderful week,
Mrs. Hankins

Love and Logic Parenting Course
We are excited to be able to again offer Parenting the Love & Logic Way virtually starting Monday, October 2nd. We all love our kids but wouldn't it be great to get a little help with the common parenting struggles we all face? Solutions for whining, back talk, chores, etc? Whether you are new to the course or coming back for a refresher, we would love to have you join us and add some more tools to your parental tool belt.
This course is FREE and VIRTUAL!! Each Monday, participants will be emailed a link with the course content for the week. Links will be live for the entire week allowing participants to watch any time during the week that works best. You can sign up by clicking the link below.
Workbooks for the course are also FREE and will be dropped off at your child's school prior to the start of class to be sent home with your child. You will be able to let us know if you need a workbook when you register for the course.
Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Blessings,
Garner Tullis & Natalie Wilson

Wresting News
Elementary Wrestling League will be in late October. Information coming soon!
Indiana Learning Lab: Parent and Family Support Hub
From Indiana Department of Education:
Earlier this month, we launched our newest feature in the Indiana Learning Lab: The Parent & Family Support Hub! The Indiana Learning Lab, first launched in 2021 to support our educators, has now grown to more than 44,000 users. As student and educator needs evolve, the Learning Lab is evolving as well. The new Parent and Family Hub was launched as a way to support parents and families of students in early learning through grade 12.
The platform will feature vetted websites, videos, workshops, and other content focused on literacy and STEM instruction, in particular. These resources will be available to parents 24/7, allowing them to access the content whenever it is most convenient for them and their family.
Our IDOE team is also currently planning several September sessions in the Learning Lab to provide information to families, as well as educators, about the Dolly Parton Imagination Library…and the important role that parents and families play in supporting their children to read (ex. ensuring your child reads 30 minutes per day).
