Counselor Corner Weekly Update

October 19th - October 23rd

Welcome Back NCE!

First, let me say a big welcome back to our PreK - 2nd grade students who are returning to in person instruction this week! We are so glad to see your beautiful faces! For those who are continuing with Virtual Academy, keep working hard and cannot wait to see your face in person too!

October: Bullying Prevention Month!

National Bullying Prevention Month is a campaign in the United States founded in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. The campaign is held during the month of October and unites communities nationwide to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention.

The goal: encourage schools, communities and organizations to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of all forms of bullying on all children of all ages.

How do we promote an Anti-Bullying Culture at NCE?

At North Chatham, we want to ensure that every student feels happy, safe, and welcome in our school.

Some of the ways we do this include explicitly teaching students vocabulary and actions that promote a positive and safe community.
