SCHEDULE C on Friday--be sure to get the updated schedule C!!! I don't know what I was thinking when I did the one in the guidelines... it was WAY off for an event!! Fundraiser kick-off will start promptly at 2pm and be over at 2:30. Pack your kids up before you come so you are ready for dismissal right after your return to classrooms.
There are MANY 504 meetings on the calendar for this week. Names are not listed so please be sure to look at the calendar so you know which ones are yours.
ARDS: If you have upcoming ARDs, you will be receiving paperwork from Ann to complete in order for her to do PLAAFS and goals to send home to parents for preview. Parents are supposed to receive these at least one week prior to the ARD meeting. Please make sure you are completing and returning your part to her as quickly as you can so she has plenty of time to prepare.
OCTOBER 1st: We have a faculty meeting that will probably be a bit longer than typical faculty meetings. Lori Gruwell has asked for time regarding PD, we have a PBIS activity, and then training for Framing the Lesson. I'm thinking it may last until 4:30, so please be prepared to stay a little later....
Reminders
Dismissal has been FABULOUS! We are finishing in a very short amount of time and most parents are arriving within the given time period. Please remember that if you are a para and have front porch duty, you cannot buckle car seats as you do not have liability coverage should something happen. Please try to encourage parents to do this on their own as it is not something for which we want to be responsible in the event of an accident.
Be sure you have signed up for your time for pictures next week.
1st thru 5th Math teachers: You have 4 diagnostic sessions this week for Lift Off! Please do one per day on each of 4 days this week. I would recommend trying for Monday thru Thursday in order to catch any absent students on Friday, but it's up to you!
Goals Conferences: You should have had your goals conference by now unless we rescheduled you because of conflict. Please submit your final goals for approval if you have not already done so.
The expectation is for ALL certified personnel to have 12 walkthroughs by mid-year break (4 from Sandra, 4 from me, and 4 from the curriculum team), so you should start seeing us regularly in your classrooms. Currently, we are still focusing on the Power Zone. This means you will not "lose credit" for not having your lesson frame up completely. However, you should still have an objective posted. For those of you who are already working to get in the habit of posting your "frame", woohoo for you!!! We have seen some very good ones and we have seen you doing a great job refocusing your students to your objective. It's awesome to see you "diving in" already!! For those of you who are not sure about your Language objective, you can find all of them in the Scope and Sequence tab in the ELPS folder in Forethought where you find your other grade level objectives.
