Wrapping up our Essays
Next week we will be wrapping up the unit on early colonization. We will finish our essays about what makes a civilization successful or unsuccessful. We are moving on to the 13 colonies and pre-revolutionary America. This will be followed by our study of the American Revolution. There is a very good PBS series called Liberty Kids. This series is a very enjoyable way to enjoy the story of our founding fathers and our nation's beginning. See the link below to the YouTube channel.
The New Learning Commons Opens!
The Learning Commons by Jack, Bella and Ben
Goodbye Library--Hello Learning Commons!! The new space is luxurious! We are so excited to read, work and learn in this new space!! There are plenty of places to work in this new space!!
There is a "Maker Space" that is a place where kids can create and explore on a daily basis.
The room is colorful and interesting. The tables and shelves move so that the space can be converted to the needs of the people using it!!
What a great place!!
Eagle Research
We are doing a mini research unit on bald eagles. We have been watching a virtual eagle cam, for about 2 weeks now. We are making observations and recording them in our google drive. The eagle pair, Harriet and M15 had an eaglet hatch on New Year's Eve.
