Dear Belle Aire Families,

You did it! Congrats on making it through an unprecedented year, and making it through successfully. If you're looking to celebrate summer, this newsletter is for you. Along with fun summer activities, there are tips for parents for summer learning, and a several resources for students.

Summer Activities

Boys and Girls Blue Lion Basketball Camp


  • Dates: June 14th, 15th, 16th
    Grades/ Times: 2nd & 3rd: 8:30am- 10am 4th & 5th: 10am- 11:30am
    Cost $20; Checks made payable to Washington City Schools; 400 S Elm St, WCH, OH 43160

Washington Youth Football and Cheer Sign ups:


  • Registration is open for any Washington City Schools students going into 3rd-6th grade for the 2021-2022 school year

FAYCO YMCA Summer Day Camp


  • Campers will be put into following grade groups:

    Kindergarten, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th

    The Fayette County Family YMCA Summer School Age Program is a state-licensed program for ages 6-12.

    Arts & Crafts Sports Games Octaball

    Fishing Special Events/Guest Speakers

    We take weekly field trips and swim at the YMCA. Most of your child’s day is spent outside, except in inclement weather.

    No Weekly Deposit Required! Pay-in-full for three or more weeks of camp at the time of registration (non-refundable) and we will waive the registration fee. (Does not apply to those receiving ODJFS or YMCA Scholarship Assistance)

    Registration: Registration Packets are available at the YMCA and on the website

    BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AFTERNOON SNACK INCLUDED!

    HOURS: Pre-Camp 5:45-9:00 (breakfast ends at 8:00). Camp activities 9:00-4:00. Post-Camp 4:00-6:15.

    SCHOLARSHIPS: Applications are available at the YMCA and awarded based on documented inability to pay the published fees. Applications must be received by May 20th.

Big Blue Bus 2021 After serving over a quarter of a million meals in 2020, the Big Blue Bus will once again be back on the road in 2021, serving every child 0-18 years of age a free lunch and next day breakfast every Monday-Friday from May 24th to August 12th!

Breakfast and lunch will also be provided to all summer school students each day before and after classroom instruction.

The Big Blue Bus Summer Food Service Program is funded entirely by the USDA federal grant program and local partners, including SugarCreek Packing, McDonald’s of Fayette County, and many more!
