Another Week Full of Highlights!
Thank you for another great week last week. It is truly amazing how busy our weeks are: Battle of the Books, Showcase of Stars, author visit, SIT Meeting, etc. We are continuously able to rise to the challenge! Thank you for your daily efforts and energy! You are great teammates and you plan effectively!
Each student counts and every moment matters!
Micro Elementary is the small school where BIG things happen...thanks to you!

Micro Headlines
Applications for Summer Reading Camp was sent out midday Monday. Micro Elementary will be a site again. Copies of the application are available and due April 11th. Information for students will be forthcoming.
If you have not joined the Micro Elementary Staff Remind Group. Please do at this time. We would use this as means of communication in an emergency: https://www.remind.com/join/f9bk7c
Staff: Melissa Brown has been approved for voluntary shared leave. If you would like to share leave with her, contact Mrs. Creech.
We have adjusted the Hot Reads section. We will start just having one article per week. This week the article is all about a balanced literacy approach. It also features great potential resources.
We are trying to ensure that all visitors stop by the front office. Please let Ms. Shepherd or Mr. Parrish know if you encounter school visitors who have not signed in.
We have allowed students to walk younger siblings to class this year and we have allowed students to do a quick "good morning" to former teachers. I believe this is a positive thing that encourages a nurturing atmosphere. If this is contributing to student tardiness or other issues, we can address it.
Please follow procedures for planned absences. Completing paperwork and citing your absence in Aesop two weeks prior to a planned absence is ideal. It is understood that last minutes absences happen and we will continue to adapt as necessary.
- Please be sure to include any before or after school duties into your substitute lesson plans.
