Cardinal Family Newsletter
It's A Great Day to Be a Cardinal!
May 11-15
Dear FFMS Students, Parents and Guardians:
Thank you to everyone that took a moment to write a positive note to a teacher. These kind words mean more than you know especially right now when they aren't able to be around their students.
This week will be the last week for any new assignments for the students. All assignments need to be completed by May 19th and grades will be finalized by the 22nd. Students will be graded by a Pass/ Fail Tiered system. Students who receive 80-100% will have a High Pass, 50-80% will be a Pass and anything below a 50% will be a Low Pass. Students who didn't complete any work during this fourth nine weeks will Fail for the quarter . Please make sure your child has completed assignments by the 19th .
Students will be able to pick up any of their belongings that were left at school or to drop off any books or items that belong to the school next week on the 18th and 19th. More information will be provided later.
Thank you and have a great week!
Mrs. Hiler
Congratulations to the Following Students of the Week
Students of the Week:
Students of the Week:
5th Grade-I would like to nominate Garrett King for student of the week! He has been working hard every week to make sure he stays caught up with this new way of learning! If his Mom reaches out and finds out he fell behind a little, he gets right back on to get it done! Also, he has been to our family meeting on Google MEET each week. One week he even chose to show off his baby sister as his show and tell! It was super thoughtful and sweet!
6th Grade-We have chosen Dayna Moore as our 6th grade student of the week! She has continued to stay on top of her work during this time of remote learning and has been submitting high quality work and always giving her best. We are very proud of her perseverance, quality work, and motivation during this time. Great Job Dayna! We are so proud of you.
7th Grade-7th Grade-Jakob Laugel and Jeryme Gentry . Both students worked hard to get caught up. Way to go!
8th Grade -Brittany Miller is 8th grades student of the week because she has completed all of her work, attended Google Meets, asks lots of questions on GoGuardian chat, and is the Prodigy Champion. Way to go Brittany!

Weekly Connection with Students and Families
Your family can expect to have personal contact with your child's teacher at least once a week. This may occur in the following formats:
- Video Chats via Google Meets
- Phone calls or text check-ins
- Emails or online chats with students
The more the students can communicate and interact with their teachers the better it is for everyone. By being able to do this it will help with motivation and feeling connected. Below are the times for the Google Meets for each grade level.
Google Meet Grade Level Times
6th Grade- Wednesday @2:00
7th Grade- Monday @ 12:00

Charge the Chromebooks!
Please make sure your child gets in the habit of charging their chrome books each evening. It is important that they come to school prepared and the chrome books are as important to class as bringing paper and pencils. They will need their computers to fully participate in instruction in most classes.
