KISD Jr VASE Results

Middle School students from Keller ISD participated in the Region 11 Jr VASE Contest at Hillwood Middle School last weekend. The Texas Jr VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event) contest is the only one of its kind in the nation, providing students the opportunity to have their artwork evaluated by certified jurors. Artists are scored based on their understanding of art processes, originality of concept, and interpretation of the artist's stated intent. Artwork is scored a rating of 4 (Superior), 3 (Excellent), 2 (Average), or 1 (Below Average). Medals are awarded to those students receiving a superior rating. All artwork receiving a 4 Rating are then judged again, where the top pieces receive a Silver Medal. Images of these artworks will be posted on the TAEA website!

Trinity Springs Middle School Presents: "Crushed"

Trinity Springs Middle School will be presenting Crushed, a comedy by Don Zolidis, on Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 17th at 2:00 p.m. This overdramatic play is about Guy and Girl who would rather live in their own fantasy worlds full of sappy romantic comedy movies and violent video games than finding a companion for each other. Their spirit guides usher them into a world of dating with lessons of what not to do. Follow them as they are introduced to the pitfalls of having a crush. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00 a person, and concessions will be sold for $1.00 each. For more information, please contact Shayna Coyne.
