A Message from Principal Boucher
SLPHS Families:
It appears that winter weather has arrived just in time for winter break to begin next week. As a reminder, there is no school December 23-January 1. We look forward to seeing our students back online after the break on Monday, January 4, 2021. I hope the break affords opportunities for students, families and staff to rest and recharge for the New Year.
The Governor announced today new statewide guidelines for reopening preK-6 schools, and we're encouraged that we will be able to begin this process for our elementary students as early as January 19. See the district message sent earlier with more details on today’s announcement. We will update families the week after break on potential transition plans for grades 7-12.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to respond flexibly and with the best interest of our students in mind. This is our last newsletter of 2020, and I am glad to see this calendar year coming to an end. And, I am hopeful for a New Year that allows us to reengage with some of the most fulfilling aspects of the high school experience for students, staff and families. Take care and be well over winter break.
One school, one community, #SLPPantherProud!

Teachers open up about Extended Flexible Learning
We asked some of our teachers to share their experiences and observations of Extended Flexible Learning. "This year is different. . . and that's okay . . . We're in this together. We're all learning." Listen to their honest, real and vulnerable perspectives as they discuss the challenges and successes of this year.
