WST Weekly Update
Monday, October 19 - Friday, October 23, 2020
From the Director
Reopening Plan Development
Monday, WST plans to submit a new detailed reopening plan so that we can begin preparing for in-person lab time. The process includes approval from various entities to ensure that we are safely reopening and that all students and staff will have all guidelines and protocols in place to fully support a safe reopening and engaging hands-on lab time.
Parent Panorama Survey
Parents/Guardians/Family, WST is interested in learning from you. Please complete the Panorama Survey about your experience with WST. We are interested in learning and growing to ensure that every student and parent/guardian/family member is fully supported from WST.
Progress Reports:
October 21 is progress reporting day for WST
- See Teacher Office Hours below - during these times the instructors are available to meet with you and your student one-on-one via Zoom or phone call
- Check Skyward to view your student's current progress in their WST class
- To check Skyward you must have a Bremerton School District Skyward account for WST, if you currently do not have one, please contact Erin Mckiernan, at erin.mckiernan@westsoundtech.org
WST Fall Advisory Kick-Off
- Career and Technical Education programs require that there is an advisory program in place where industry and business, the CTE program, Post-secondary partners (including two-and four-year schools, apprenticeships, and advanced training programs) collaborate together to ensure that programs are relevant and prepare students for future careers and college.
- If you are interested in joining the advisory council with WST, please join us for our fall advisory meeting on Wednesday, October 28 at 5:00 pm. There is a general advisory that supports all WST programs and program specific advisory committees.
- To join, please go to our fall Advisory Kick-Off, please RSVP to Shani Watkins (shani.watkins@westsoundtech.org) and connect at 5:00 pm to our zoom meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82280610829
