Five Aspects Study
Week of: October 12, 2015
A Note from the Teachers
Dear Ladies,
As we continue through this study of Five Aspects, I (Dianne) have been struck by a few things:
- The careful attention God has given to the design of humans (and as specifically relates to our study—to the design of women).
- The reality that my view of the true beauty of His design has been tainted and misunderstood due to sin and the influence of the culture at large.
- There is a struggle involved in coming to grips with a more complete, more beautiful, and more purposeful understanding of who I am as a woman based on Scripture.
I wonder if any of you have experienced similar thoughts as well?
It reminds me of Paul’s words from 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.
“3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,” (emphasis added).
I so deeply desire to view God’s character and His design with all the truth, beauty, and purpose He has intended. In many cases, this requires an active shift of my perspective, of my viewpoint. As we continue to study God’s word and to take in the teachings from our study, it is a prayer I have for myself and for you as well . . . that we will each be refreshed with a grander view of womanhood as established by our Creator. May the “wrestling” in thought that we go through, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, help us to take “every thought captive to the obedience of Christ”. May we find greater joy and deeper freedom as we go forth on this journey together.
Going Forward In His Grace,
Your Sisters in Christ (Erica, Philis, Amy, & Dianne)

Two Upcoming Women's Events
Friday Night | Four Questions
Fellowship Women
Friday, October 23
7:00-9:00pm
Fellowship Brentwood | The Barn
Contact: Erica Stegner | 615-277-9542
What if there was a way to unify generations of women and you could be a part of it? It may be as simple as sitting around a table on a Friday night, eating dessert and discussing four questions. No matter your age, your perspective brings value and influence to the rest of us and we want to hear from you. Our goal is to have women of all ages–20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and so on–share their unique perspectives and insights.
This is a great opportunity to connect with other Fellowship women and to bring a friend. Coffee and desserts will be served. No cost or registration required.
