Robotics Team Places First!
Congratulations to the "Green Lightning" Gettys Middle School Robotics Team for winning First Place in the Robot Performance Award on December 17 at the Oconee Robotics Qualifier Tournament. Our team will now move on to the state competition which will be hosted by Easley High School in January! The team was led by 8th grade science teachers Brent Adcox and Jeffrey Tharpe, with the assistance of Amy Evatt, 6th grade science, and Tillman Fennell, 6th grade English. Thanks go to all four robotic teams for their dedication to STEM project-based learning and academic competitions for their students!
