Schools : why bother?
I recently went to Cambodia. One of the things I did was teach at a small school. Their school consisted of five small rooms in three buildings. They didn't have proper walls or desks. They had a limited supply of books and resources. They had to reason water and help clean the school, and yet they were the happiest children I have ever seen. The were excited by school. They put them selfs into every activity a hundred percent. They were hungry to learn, they had a need for knowlege because this was their only chance to make a better future for them selfs.
It was that raw passion to learn that made me realize just how important school are for them.
Are we grateful?
