Our Vision
At Sneed we believe that all stakeholders are capable of developing a growth mindset, being student centered, systemic and transformational; therefore, we will continually analyze the areas of concern, seek solutions from different perspectives and create united decisions on systems that promote a positive culture.
Letter From the Principal
Dear Sneed Dino Families,
Welcome to the last 9 weeks of the 2020 – 2021 school year! Many of our students have been learning in person since October, others have just returned from virtual learning and we still have students who have opted to stay virtual. We will continue to support all of our students and families whatever decision you have made that works for you!
All of our 4th grade students will participate in Writing STAAR testing next week. The state will not allow for virtual testing on state assessments. If you have a 4th grade student, there are a few things you can do to help your student be a more successful tester…
· Make sure your child gets a good night of sleep before the test.
· Make sure your child arrives at school before 7:55 in order to begin testing with the rest of their class.
· Remind your child to do their best. Let your child know that you believe they can succeed.
We are already making plans for our Summer School program. Summer School will not have a virtual option this year. All Summer School students will attend in-person. We will send out more information about our Summer programs soon.
Morning Arrival: Parents, we need your help to keep our students safe! Our staff is not on duty until 7:25 am. Please do not drop off your child prior to 7:25 as there will not be an adult to supervise them and ensure their safety.
Afternoon Dismissal: We begin afternoon dismissal at 3:00 pm. Dismissal ends at 3:40 pm, at which time staff is off duty and many leave for the day. Please make sure you are picking up your child on time each day.
Coming Soon:
· Summer School Registration
· Field Day Packs for sale
· Staff and Student Holidays: Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 26
We are here for you if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Although 2021 continues to be a challenge, I believe we can work together to make sure your child will succeed in the months to come.
Please follow us on Twitter @AliefSneed or let us know how we are doing by writing a review on Facebook. We’d love to hear from you!
See you around the building,

2019-20 School Report Card and 2019-20 Federal Report Card Spring 2021
I am writing to inform you that the 2019-20 School Report Card (SRC) and Federal Report Card (FRC) for campuses and the district are posted on the district’s website:
https://www.aliefisd.net/Domain/111
Summary of School Report Card (SRC)
The SRC is a report required by Section 39.305 of the Texas Education Code and is prepared each year by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for each campus in the state. There is no district or state level SRC. It is a campus-only report.
The SRC is intended to give a broad view of campus performance by combining the following information:
campus accountability rating
data from campus Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR), and
financial information.
The information contained in the SRC is described in more detail in a document entitled 2019-20 School Report Card Definitions – which is also posted and available at the link provided above.
The SRC for campuses may or may not have all the information described because the information presented depends on whether the school is an elementary, middle, or high school.
Summary of Federal Report Card (FRC)
The FRC is a report required under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA). Each year, TEA prepares an FRC for the State as well as each district and campus in the State. FRCs for the State, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available at the link provided above.
The information contained in the FRC is described in more detail in a document entitled Information Included in the 2019-20 Federal Report Card – which is also posted and available at the link provided above.
If you have any questions concerning the SRC or the FRC, or if you would like a printed copy of either the SRC or the FRC (or the corresponding explanatory documents), please contact:

Uniform Reminders:
Parents,
Thank you for making sure that our students are here every day ready to learn and be successful. We would appreciate your support in ensuring students are in uniform. When students aren’t in uniform, they have to come to the office to call home or go to the nurse for a change of clothes which causes them to be out of class missing instruction.
Thank you,
Sneed Administration
Uniform Tops:
· Red, White, or Navy Blue Collared Shirt
Uniform bottoms:
· Navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, skorts or skirts
Jeans allowed, no rips or tears.

Make Physical Activity a Family Affair
Parents are their kids' top role models when it comes to healthy living. You can help teach your children to make healthy choices and get moving. Try getting started by planning regular physical activities.
Here are some ideas:
· Take a family walk after dinner.
· Go for a family bike ride, instead of watching TV.
· Take your family to the park and play together.
· Stuck inside? Have a family dance party!
