The Cougar's Den

April 2018

Principal's Corner

We are off to a great start for fourth quarter. As we move closer to the end of the school year, there will be several important academic assessments for our students. Attendance is vital this quarter, so please make sure students make every effort to attend school during this crucial time. Attendance will be emphasized for the remainder of the year. We have been impressed with our students and their academic growth throughout the year--let's finish strong and continue to build upon their academic success. Thank you for supporting the mission of Frank Church High School.

Thank You & Go Cougars!

SAT School Day - Tuesday, April 10th

SAT School Day is Tuesday, April 10th. Most students take the SAT during their junior or senior year in high school. At least half of all students take the SAT twice--in the spring of their junior year and in the fall of their senior year. Most students also improve their score the second time around.

Our bell schedule will remain the same except there will be no bells or announcements. Students will report to the gym as we can BEGIN testing at 8:00! All students should finish testing between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm.

This is really important information for you and your student(s) needs to be very much aware of:

Prohibited devices include, but are not limited to:

  • Cell phones or smart phones'
  • Audio players/recorders, tablets, laptops, notebooks, or any other personal computing devices
  • Separate timers of any type
  • Cameras or any other photographic equipment

Any devices, including digital watches, that can be used to record, transmit, receive, or play back audio, photographic, text, or video content (with the exception of CD players used for Language with Listening Subject Tests only).

The test administration staff reserves the right to collect and hold phones and other prohibited electronic devices during the test administration, including during break periods, or to deny admission to anyone who is in possession of a phone or other prohibited electronic device.

If your device makes noise, or you are seen using it at any time, including during breaks, you may be dismissed immediately, your scores can be canceled, and the device may be confiscated and its contents inspected. The College Board is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items, including electronic devices, while you are in testing.
