salt under microscope
My Favorite Lab
My favorite lab was the salt lab. It was my favorite because i got to see one one of my favorite condiments from a whole different perspective. Plus I got to work with one of my good friends Nick. Salt under the microscope looked like ice cubes. Using a microscope is very cool. It makes stuff look totally different.
Mrs. Smith's Triple Beam Balance Video
Before using a triple beam balance for the fist time she had us watch a video that she made. Lets just say that she had a small encounter with a fly. It was pretty hilarious. It was my favorite video of the intro to science 6 unit.

Overall Description of Science 6 Intro
The science 6 intro was a month long unit about they ways of science 6. Mrs. Smith explained how to use a triple beam balance, a microscope, metric ruler, a globe, and a mapping scale. Also, she taught us how to make qualitative and quantitative observations. During this time I had a lot of fun on the labs and handouts. We did some very interesting labs but the most interesting one was the salt lab. It was my favorite because I got to see one of my favorite condiments from a whole different perspective. Plus I got to work with one of my good friends Nick. Salt under the microscope looked like ice cubes.
The Qualitative and Quantitative Assessment Test
This assessment was the only graded test in the science 6 into. A qualitative observation is an observation involving no numbers. Quantitative observations are observations including numbers.
How High Do You Mesure
The How High Do You Measure handout was a handout to help with using metric rulers. We were supposed to measure ourselves with a metric ruler.
Unit One Journal
The Unit One Journal is very important. Every day Mrs. Smith puts up a question up on the board. We must answer it. There have been 24 journal questions during this unit. They were mostly about what we are doing that day.
