Holiday Gifts to Staff Members
As the holiday season approaches, we know many students and parents may be thinking about giving teachers and/or staff members a gift. Please know that our staff members are very appreciative of any cards, gifts, or notes of cheer that may be given to them, but this is not necessary. Spending our days interacting and learning with your children is a valued gift to us all! If a gift is selected, please know that all staff members are required to follow the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators. In accordance with this code, educators may not accept gifts valuing more than $25.
Thank you for all that you do throughout the entire year to recognize our staff for their hard work and dedication and for all that you do to support your child’s learning!
RAPTOR Visit Management System Reminder
Mayfield City Schools continues to make safety our number one priority. This school year, our front entrance was redesigned, interior cameras have been added, and we now have access to a new visitor management system. As of December 10th, all visitors have been asked to present their state or government picture ID. A badge containing the visitor’s name, picture, date, and the reason for the visit will be printed, and the visitor will be instructed to wear the badge throughout his or her visit. Please click on this link for more information (District Announcement). We understand that this change will be an adjustment for many, and we ask for your patience as we all become familiar with these new practices. Thank you in advance for helping us to promote a safe environment for our students and staff.
