Bucket Fillers
- WE ARE LUCKY to have a staff full of professionals who continually WORK ON THE WORK! Thanks to all who participated in TPV this week to focus on standards, our students' current performance/ability, and next steps!
- KUDOS to Kristie Gordon, Laura Radcliffe, and Carrie Sparks for chaperoning the fifth grade field trip to Consequences of Crime. 17 students visited jail on Thursday and it was an eye-opening experience!
- APPLAUSE to Chuck, Theresa, and Sam! They absolutely rocked PE Night! Best one to date!
- HATS OFF to Faith and Maria! They conducted a session at the PTA Executive meeting today to demystify the placement process!
- RAVES to The Kindergarten Team!! Storybook Character Day was priceless - and our youngest Buccaneers were not only adorable but confident! Thanks, also to Kindergarten for the incredible snack spread.
- A PAT ON THE BACK to Everyone who Participated in Walk to School Day! Today's event was quite well-attended. Will we retain the crown? TBA...

Placement for 2017-18
Optional Parent Placement forms available beginning today!
If you have a student at Mt. Bethel, we will place a form in your box within that window for you to provide placement input. You will be asked to request three names of teachers with whom you think your child will be successful.
If you receive a request for a "placement meeting," an appropriate response would be: "Placement requests are handled through the MBES placement form and not through teacher conferences. Administration reads each form and students are placed carefully based on a multitude of factors. The forms are for parents to provide input. As a teacher, I provide input, as well, as we strive to create balanced classes. All of the teachers at our school are great!
Ms. Appleyard has asked that we not honor placement meetings to ensure common procedures, equity throughout the school, and to allow teachers time to focus on planning instruction. As a parent, you are encouraged to fill out the form candidly based on your child's needs for success."
