Colts Pride in Action
All first-time Coders! Participating in "Hour of Code" can seem like a daunting task, but BRAVO to YOU for trying it out with your students! Coding has many benefits, one of which is helping students sharpen their executive functioning skills (e.g. sequencing, organizing, if-then, etc.). Thank you to Mr. Doss for all of the support to get make coding approachable to all of our classrooms!
PBIS tip of the week
Make time to "play". Holiday time can make students a little more giddy or silly. Let's channel that "silliness" and bring some purposeful #joy into our classroom group activities this week !

Winter Celebrations
Grade levels should plan to host their classroom winter celebrations on Thursday unless you have already communicated with admin. Celebrations are limited to an hour. Feel free to invite parents. If you are asking parents to send in edible items, please ask for the ingredients. Classroom teachers are responsible for checking ingredients for allergies for food brought in for the classroom celebrations. Note that it is a winter celebration rather than a Christmas party as we must be mindful of students whose families do not celebrate Christmas or any other holiday during this season.
