THE LATEST NEWS
Latest Tech Updates and Important Reminders
We encourage any student that currently does not have a machine checked out full time (to use at school and at home) or personal device that they bring to school each day to make arrangements to get one from us – parents/guardians can fill out the form necessary to secure a long term loaner for their student at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfu_1V5FPPXb1HQA_cHcKV0BYPm9r14J03bdtqXnzv-tT6EHQ/viewform - information about insurance, care, etc. is on the form.
WIFI
If you have not checked out a long term device because you do not have reliable home wifi, we have hotspots that will provide reliable internet with enough monthly data for student education usage. These devices have site filtering to keep students on task – please indicate on the form if your student will need a wifi hotspot.
Loaners
We are no longer checking out loaners to students who already have a long term device in order to ensure that the students who do not have long term devices can get one. As you may recall from the agreement filled out when your student received a long term device, students are responsible for bringing their assigned device to school each day charged and ready to use. Since the majority of these devices were brand new at the time of checkout, a full charge will last the entire day.
Sharing Devices
We really want to ensure that each student has their own device that is not shared with anyone else to minimize the risk of illness and to ensure that if they are sent home for illness or exposure, that they can continue to participate in their learning uninterrupted. If you are not providing a personal computer for your child to bring to school daily, make arrangements for your student to get a long term loaner today!
Please feel free to contact our learning commons at 912-395-2005 with any questions about devices and insurance.”
