NEWS ALERT! I-Ready Middle of the Year Diagnostic
WHAT PARENTS CAN DO
We acknowledge that we are learning in some unique times. However, your support is needed in this process. We are asking you to do the following 3 things:
- Help your child to identify a quiet place to work
- Encourage your child to do their best
- Support them but do not help them with this task. We need to capture their learning in order to effectively plan the next steps.
Math Diagnostic Week of February 1st - February 5th
Please ensure your child has paper and a pencil.
Do your best!
IMPORTANT: If your scholar does not have a Chromebook, they will need a scheduled spot to take the diagnostic at school. Please call the school to schedule your test.
Scheduled: Math Diagnostic will be Thursday, February 4th, 2021 @ 9 am.
Attendance Matters
Please be reminded that attendance in a virtual classroom is just as important as attendance in a regular classroom.
Scholars must log in to their virtual meeting by 8:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Scholars must log in to their virtual meeting by 9:30 am on Wednesday. We are asking scholars to be prompt. Per attendance regulations: 3 tardies are considered 1 unexcused absence.
If you need to take a day off, make sure you contact the front desk to report your child's reason for being absent. Have a great day and remember, being present means logging on so that your teacher can see that you are ready to learn!

Ground Hogs Day
February 2nd, which according to an old story, is the day the groundhog wakes up after sleeping through the winter. If it sees its shadow on this day, there will be six more weeks of winter, and if it does not, spring will start early.

On behalf of the administration and staff, thank you for all your support during this virtual learning experience. We appreciate all you're doing to ensure our scholars are online learning and teachers have your support. We realize that without you, the progress we've made wouldn't be possible.
As we continue to strive to meet the individual needs of our students, please remember daily attendance, class participation, and completion of assignments is imperative for scholars to experience success.
We encourage you to keep investing in our scholars because "We Work Better Together."
