MAP testing - computer lab time with Kellmann - teachers please stay and assist

Aims testing - in your pod with Lenayn, Jeannie, and classroom teacher (I'll bring a sub with to be in your classroom) sign up for a time here- I adjusted the math times to allow for 45 minutes per class.
First grade reading: January 12 - went very well, but not quite enough time - I will be back to do make ups for the students we missed.
Kindergarten reading: January 16 - tested almost everyone!
First grade math: January 24 (except 1R and 1Ste)
Kindergarten math: January 26
January 29 - 1R and 1Ste + 2 kindergarten teachers and make ups
MCOMP - January 12-19. Folders in your mailbox.
Please be sure that you take some time to review goals with students. This is a great opportunity to review goals and remind students to do their best!
Math Chats
We will have a chance to collaborate, explore Eureka materials, plan, and enjoy math. Grades kindergarten through eighth will have the opportunity to work together and learn more about the Eureka curriculum tool.
The Big Hollow Math Chats will be held on the third Tuesday of the month, from 4-5:00 PM at the District Office - Middle School Library. Those dates will include:
- Feb. 27, Mar. 20, Apr. 17, May 15
- Teachers will receive 1 hour of CPDU credit and 1 hour stipend. Water and light snacks will be provided.

Kindergarten teacher lunch will be after the PD. Prep time will be made up if the PD is during a scheduled prep time.

Bring samples of Thinking Maps (to share) that they have done in class with their students
Re-read Chapter 2 (pp. 13-25) and be ready to discuss

Area of Improvement: Unpack, review, discuss, and understand the State Standards.
Continue to align current materials and gather additional resources to ensure coverage of the State Standards.
Action Plan: Early Release Days, Curriculum Committees, Cross-Grade Level Collaboration, Grade Level Collaboration of committee work, Discuss what we want students to know, learn, or be able to do in all subject areas
Student Achievement
Area of Improvement: Increase # of students in tier I in ELA and math & at PreK Increase # of students showing progress in literacy and math levels
Action Plan: Determine and provide a variety of resources and progress monitoring tools, Determine resource based on student need, Maximize staff and minimize student group size, Improve intervention schedule, Utilize time to have meaningful discussions about data and student growth and at PreKTeaching Strategies Gold will be used to assess all students

Area of Improvement: Build a stronger educational community within Big Hollow Primary School,
Enhance PBIS Tier 1 systems
Action Plan: Include all staff in staff meetings, Team building activities – all staff, Increase observations among and within the staff, Implement PBIS throughout the year, Enhance Tier 1 systems, Common lesson plans for PBIS, Utilize all staff to support PBIS, Professional development for staff, Provide more information about PBIS to parents, PBIS meetings
