Breakfast/Lunch Update

We learned today of a mechanical issue in the lunchroom which we hope to have fixed tomorrow. I was told by Aramark that the lunchroom staff will only be able to serve cold breakfast options and Ham/Cheese & Sunbutter sandwiches on September 18th and 19th. They hope to have the lunchroom available for serving hot foods by Friday.

African American Heritage Showcase

Very soon, planning will begin for our 2020 African American Heritage Showcase. This will be our third showcase and we are eager to keep the momentum and quality of presentation high as we move forward with this very important contribution to our school community.

Student Fees - Pay Online

Peirce families now have the option of paying student fees online by clicking here and then selecting the one time payment option. Fees are $50 per student or $100 max for 2 or more children.

Open House

Learn more about your child's classroom, teacher and school experience on Thursday, September 26th from 5:00 - 6:30pm. In addition to visiting classrooms, parents will have the opportunity to learn more about the promotional policy for 3rd, 6th and 8th grade students at 5:00pm in the gym. Ms. Choe (School Counselor) will also host a High School Information Meeting at 5:45pm in the gym for families interested in learning more about the high school application process - very helpful for 7th and 8th grade families.

Parent Mixer

Join Peirce Parents at Jerry's Sandwiches, 5419 N. Clark on Wednesday, September 18th at 6:00pm.


Meet new friends, catch up with old ones and learn about what each parent organization does within the school. A representative from each parent group will be available to talk about the mission of their organization and answer questions. Light appetizers will be available with drinks available for purchase. Click this link for free babysitting, up to 50 kids accepted along with the option to contribute towards a pizza dinner. Title I Meeting and Organizational Meeting

The Parent Advisory Council will meet on Friday, September 20th at 8:15am for a Title I Parent Meeting led by the principal, followed by the Organizational Meeting at 8:45am. The Title I Parent Meeting will review the role of the PAC along with the PAC Budget and School Improvement Plan. During the Organizational Meeting, parents will elect officers and establish a meeting calendar.


The Parent Advisory Council focuses on parent education and involvement in the school community.
