It's Almost Time! Online Registration Coming January 23

The District's online registration system goes live on January 23 for the 2019-20 school year. This will replace the paper-based system and will be used for students who have never enrolled in the District before. Parents who have a new student starting school next year will be able to learn about online registration through:

  • Kindergarten Counts on January 23 at their resident elementary school
  • New resources on the District website
  • Flyers available at each school

Document Acknowledgement in ParentVUE

Beginning January 23, all ParentVUE users will be required to review and acknowledge documents about the District's policies and procedures immediately upon logging into the portal. This is an opportunity for parents to revisit important information about our schools. Scroll to the bottom of each document's page and press the "I Acknowledge" button when you have completed your review. You will then be able to access other ParentVUE pages. Each document requires acknowledgment only once.

Kindergarten Counts – January 23

Lake Oswego School District's Kindergarten Counts will take place Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at all elementary schools. This event introduces Lake Oswego parents to the full-day kindergarten program and Extended Day program and ensures that new families are connected to their school. All families with a child who will be five years old by September 1, 2019, are encouraged to attend.

This year Kindergarten Counts will coincide with the debut of the District’s new online registration portal. Rather than providing a paper registration form that night, parents will learn about online registration so that they can later enroll their children from home or wherever they access the internet (no registration via smartphone).

Running for School Board Information Meeting – January 24

Have you ever thought about running for School Board? Come to an informational meeting on Thursday, January 24 at 7:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. at the LOSD administration office to hear about what school members do, who is eligible to run, and what you need to do to file. There are two positions open for the May 2019 election, and three positions open in 2021.

Liz Hartman, current LOSD board member and a member of the Oregon School Boards Association Board of Directors, will be presenting.

If you are unable to attend, you are always welcome to call any of the current school board members (contact information available online).
