Don’t Worry Be Grateful: Why Being Thankful Isn’t Just for Thanksgiving Day

The clock is running and another holiday is upon us. Another opportunity to make the most of today.


I love Thanksgiving for many reasons – family, friends, food, and fall – these are just some of my personal favourites. But as a psychologist who helps people with anxiety, I like Thanksgiving for the lessons it has for us – the focus on gratitude and the focus on the present.

Upcoming Virtual Parent Wellness Information Sessions

Our first session will be offered on October 7, 2020. Please keep checking the Horizon School Division website, Your child's school home page, Mental Health in Horizon FB page or Horizon Facebook for a list of upcoming "Wellness" sessions our Family School Liaison Program will be offering within the next month.


These sessions will be offered a couple times a month for an hour from 12:00-1:00. We will provide a link to join the information session. The topics will be presented by a variety of agencies and community members that our program partner with.
