Recycled items needed for Night of Inquiry, Innovation and Inquiry

We have an exciting project planned for our kiddos at our Night of Innovation on April 19. For this project, we are collecting recycled soup cans, Jell-O cups, yogurt cups, easy mac-n-cheese cups, etc. during the week of April 9-13. Please send in these clean, recycled items to your child’s classroom teacher and our STES diplomats will collect them daily. Please do not send in glass containers.

Parent survey available!

Below is a link for a parent survey. Please take a few moments to fill it out so we may have the invaluable feedback that we need to make Stateside an even better place to learn and serve for each and every Patriot!

We would love to have all surveys filled out by April 30th. If you are unable to access the link below, please feel free to send your teacher an email and they can send the link directly to you.

THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED IT!

Bus changes and alerts available to parents

As many have noticed, we have had a great deal of bus changes both in the morning and afternoon. We send out Remind messages to those parents who have signed up to receive text messages of those changes as soon as we are notified. If you do not need this information now, the information is always available farther down in the Scoop as well and on the STES website.

See click on the below for the instructions on how to sign up for the bus changes. Please note: You only need to sign up for your students primary bus. For example, if there are two routes that are doing to be doubled up, the same message will go to both lists of parents.

Lunch fees and Free and reduced lunch applications

Students receive notices of their lunch balances every few weeks. We need your assistance in making sure those overages are taken care of. Feel free to send in a check or cash with your student. Those monies will be taken to the cafeteria to deposit into their account. You may also pay online. The link is below.

In addition, if you are in need of applying for Free or Reduced lunch, please see the website below to be able to fill out the application. You may also contact the Child Nutrition department at the County Office for assistance.

Only four more days for the Reading Challenge!

Please continue to turn in your Reading Challenge Choice cards for a special prize! We love having visitors to the office each day to celebrate their love for reading!

Student absences

Just a reminder that we need either a doctors note or a handwritten parent note (to include parent signature, student name, teacher name, dates and reason for absence) in order to be excused. We appreciate your help with this matter.

Jumprope for Heart information - follow up

Jump Rope for Heart wrapped up on 3/20. Please bring any envelopes with donations in to Coach A ASAP. We appreciate everyone's support of this worthy fundraiser.

5th grade DC information

UPDATE: The final DC parent meeting will be Monday, March 26th at 5pm in the media center. Please make every effort to be in attendance if your Patriot is going on the trip or your are a chaperone.

Ms. Dawson sent out an email to all parents who have children attending the trip and / or will be chaperoning. Please return that as soon as you can. She is still missing a handful of documents from parents/students. We will have copies of the form at the meeting on Monday night.

VERY IMPORTANT FOR CHAPERONES!!

If you have paid to be a chaperone for the trip, you will need to be fingerprinted very soon as it takes a few weeks to process. The list of dates is available in the front office. The sheet that needs to be turned in at the County Office is also available in the front office (it requires Mrs. Bracy's signature so please make sure you have it prior to going to the County Office.)

If you are not fingerprinted prior to the trip, you will not be allowed to attend and no refunds can be provided.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call. Mrs. Kight, Mrs. Dawson or Mrs. Helt will be glad to help you.

Chocolate Fundraising update

There are still a handful of students who have not turned in their chocolate fundraiser money. Please send that in as soon as possible. Any questions, please contact Jacquelyn Whitaker, our financial secretary.
