What Will We Be Learning This Week??
Reading: We will discuss our reading using descriptive, literal, and figurative language. We will practice reading with fluency, pace, accuracy, and prosody.
Writing: We will learn to identify and use poetic elements. We will study the way author's write poems.
Phonics/Grammar: We will continue working with our word collections and use words in multiple ways. We will work with synonyms and possessive nouns.
Math: We will solve one-step and multi-step word problems involving addition and subtraction with numbers to 1,000 using a variety of strategies. We will generate and solve problem situations for a given mathematical number sentence.
Social Studies: We will explain basic map elements and apply map skills through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will observe, describe, and compare rocks by size, texture, and color.
