Principal's Message
Dear Hays High School Parents & Students,
Thank you for supporting our school and working hard as we enter the final weeks of “Home Learning” to finish the semester. As we close the 2019-20 school year, we are planning to make 2020-21 the best school year ever at Hays! A large piece of that is course selection and advising. Remember, our counselors are available to you and your students in preparation for next school year. You can check student course selection through our HCISD parent portal. Contact your student’s counselor if you have any questions.

Class of 2020 Valedictorian & Salutatorian
Hays School School Principal David Pierce is proud to announce the Jack C. Hays High School Class of 2020 Valedictorian and Salutatorian. “Both Matthew and Mahalia have worked hard for these honors. They have put academics first and their commitment to earning this honor goes all the way back to when they entered 6th grade and elected to take advanced classes in our district. They should be applauded for making that long term commitment and finishing strong.”
Mr. Pierce also remarked “not only are they great students, but these are incredible people. They are kind to others, thoughtful in their actions and exemplify leadership in every sense of the word. They represent what it means to be a Hays Rebel and a graduate of Jack C. Hays High School.”

Accommodations for the Online AP Exams
Students will be able to use their approved accommodations (Click here) for 2020 AP Exams. This year the way accommodations are provided may be different because the exams are shorter and will be taken online at home. Specific information about accommodations for AP world language and culture exams will be available the week of April 27.
As always, students may only use accommodations that they've been approved for by the College Board Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) office.
