Ashley Helms recently sent out a smore with professional learning updates. I have attached the link to the bottom of this smore just in case you missed it. Please continue to work on your goals and document your progress in Eduphoria in the section titled "On-going notes and EOY Reflections." As a reminder, you are required to earn 7.5 hours of professional development on your own. There are many options in My Learning Plan http://mlp.pisd.edu/ and in the smore from Ashley. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need some assistance with this!

We are entering a busy time of year - MAP testing, end of semester grading, winter parties, early release, and more! That list doesn't even include what you have going on in your personal lives during this time of year. With all that is scheduled, teacher stress tends to get a little amplified. Many of our students feel this same stress. Some students look forward to the holiday break and the time they get to spend with family and friends, the different activities they get to do, and a break from their regular schedule. Some students, however, do not look forward to this time. Being away from school can be a stressor for students who view school as a stable and structured environment that supports their social-emotional needs. I want to encourage you to take care of yourself so that you have the energy to take care of our students. Take a breath, get adequate rest, and let us know if there is anything we can do to support you!
