The Siegrist Star
August 2023
Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year! We are so excited to kick off the new year and see everyone during our Back to School Open House on August 17th. This week we have been busy welcoming many of our new staff members into our PCR-3 Pirate family. During this week's activities we had an opportunity to celebrate their commitment to our Siegrist Team with a "Signing Day".
Please join us in welcoming the following new staff members in the front row:
Hailey Blum - 2nd Grade Teacher
Hannah Hall - 3rd Grade Teacher
Kristin Dunlap - Special Education Teacher
Katelyn Modlin - 1st Grade Teacher
We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
Best,
Mrs. Johna-Kaye Sutton WELCOME ABOARD PIRATES!

Meet the Teacher Night - August 18
This is an exciting night for both our new student and their families and our Siegrist staff. Meet the Teacher Night will be held on August 17 from 5-7pm. Your child's teacher reveal letter was mailed on August 11! This is the time to bring in your child's supplies and meet their teacher. If you ordered supplies from School Tool Box, they are here and will be on your child's desk waiting for them. You will also have an opportunity to make payment on your child's lunch account and payment for a yearbook order. (Yearbooks come in May). Our theme this year is POWER UP PIRATES! See you all soon.
New Procedures for Student drop off and pick up
We are very excited that our parking lot construction is complete. The new layout will help us increase the safety and efficiency during the arrival and dismissal process. Please refer to the map for more specific details regarding morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. We have indicated the changes by using star shapes in certain areas of the map.
Celebrations and Birthdays
We believe it is important for the school to recognize our students on their birthday and other special days. However, for several reasons including increased food allergies, preservation of the instructional day, and student equality, students are not allowed to bring treats from home or have flowers/balloons or other items delivered to the classroom for birthdays, going-away parties, or other personal events. Each classroom teacher will recognize the student in a special way to celebrate his or her birthday.
If a student receives a delivery at school, the student will be notified to come to the office to view the item. Parents will be responsible for transporting the item home. Birthday party invitations may only be distributed if invitations are given to every student in the class.
