PSAT Information
- The PSAT will be given to 10th and 11th grade students only on October 11, 2017.
- The PSAT is an important test. Students who perform well could earn college scholarships.
- PSAT study guides will be distributed to students this week during English classes. These guides contain information and sample test questions that will help students prepare for the PSAT. Please encourage your students to familiarize themselves with this guide at home.
- Parents/Students should check their calendars for appointments already scheduled for October 11, and consider rescheduling as there are no make-up dates for the PSAT.
- Students who did not get a guide during English can get them from Mr. Copsey.
- Students must bring their own calculator for the test.

Winter Sports Reminders
The Parent/Athlete pre-season meeting will be held on November 8, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Room assignments for individual sports will be posted on the lobby doors.
- Family ID registration is now open.
- All athletes must be registered and approved by noon on November 14, 2017.
To be approved, athletes must meet the following criteria:
- Must be registered on Family ID,
- Have 2.0 or higher GPA from the 4th marking period of last school year
- Have a current physical uploaded to Family ID or give a hard copy to the Athletic Director
- Physicals must be current for 1 calendar year from the date of the exam
All athletes must be present for all tryouts and practices starting on November 15, 2017.
Due to the later start in the school year, we had to adjust our eligibility time line. For our students in grades 10-12, last year’s 4th quarter grades will be used to determine eligibility for winter sport tryouts. All freshman remain eligible until the release of their 1st quarter report card. However, even if you make a sports team prior to the release of the 1st marking period, you still must have a 2.0 when the November 21st are released. If you do not have a 2.0 at that time you will be removed from the team.
If a student is not eligible according to the 4th quarter marking period of last year but can prove that they will have a 2.0 or higher for the 1st marking period, the student may try out for a team.
If you have any questions please contact either Mr. Tira or Mr. Copsey.
