Zion JHYM Newsletter
June 2022
Hello Sunshine!
Welcome to our new Junior High teens and parents! At our Hello Hang Time, I truly had fun getting to know our new additions and spending time introducing what it means to be in Junior High Youth Group. Our 'experienced' members let the new members know that Junior High Youth Ministry requires a little more maturity and affords deeper talks into topics surrounding ourselves, our relationships, and our faith. It was a fun time and I'm grateful for all who contributed to make the event successful. I look forward to seeing these teens grow together in fellowship!
Although we are not meeting for Connection Hour over the summer, we have a few fun activities planned to keep the faith alive. Summer Mission Trip planning is in full effect and June also means VBS... Zion's largest outreach opportunity. 7th & 8th grade teens are needed for VBS volunteer roles (see below)... we guarantee a lot of fun for ALL ages throughout the week!
As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I am honored to have served your teens this past school year as your Interim Junior High Youth Ministry Director. The search committee has solidified a few interviews with potential Youth Directors. As you will see below, we will have the opportunity to meet one of those candidates as he visits Zion later this month. Throughout the interview/visitation process, our team asks you to remain in prayer for the full-time Youth Ministry Director we know that God has earmarked to lead our teens in the future of the ministry.
I hope this summer brings you and your family many fun opportunities to make memories together. And, I hope to see your teen at our summer gatherings to do the same at JHYM!
Many blessings,
Leticia
