Dear Cub Community,

We had a wonderful week at CCES!

Today was a Fri-YAY because the Champion Charger football, volleyball, and water polo teams were on campus to welcome our students bright and early. The student-athletes also helped us get our groove on at our Fri-YAY dance party! That’s right! Did you know every Friday we have a school-wide dance party to start the day at CCES? If your child is here by 7:20 they know the routine! We all gather together and start the day with music and movement!

Next week we have a short week - only three days of learning! Please set a goal to have perfect attendance all three days. Remember… learning doesn’t stop when someone is absent!

Have a terrific weekend!

Mrs. Pomeroy

Visitor and Parent Pick-Up Procedures

All visitors are required to show their driver's license or other form of picture ID when arriving on campus for a meeting or to volunteer, or to pick up a student early from school. You must check in with the front office for all parent/teacher meetings, or for volunteer work on our campus. In addition, the front office will not release the student unless the parent or guardian shows their ID, and they are listed as an authorized pick-up person in Skyward.

Morning Drop-Off

To help keep our morning drop-off safe and smooth, please do not drop off your child(ren) in any areas that have cones. We know that some of our students report to the gym in the morning. Unless directed to drop off your child at the gym by an on-duty staff member, please wait and pull all the way down by the cafeteria and marquee. This will help prevent fender benders and will allow duty personnel to better monitor your child’s exit from the car.

Please also note that our school opens at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast in the cafeteria and morning drop-off. ***There is NO SUPERVISION of students prior to 7:00 a.m*** Please do not drop your students off on our campus prior to that time. If you have any questions regarding the morning drop-off procedures and time, please call the front office at 830-357-4400.

See Something, Say Something

We are proud to kick off our See Something, Say Something awareness campaign. School safety is very important, and it's up to all of us to work together as a team to prevent bad things from happening. If we all stay alert and work as a team to report dangerous or suspicious activity, we can help keep our schools safe. Please take the time to watch the important video about See Something, Say Something.

Handicapped Parking

Please do not park in handicapped parking spaces without the appropriate placard or designation. Violators may be ticketed.

Dear Families,

I love counseling children. This is truly my calling, and I am glad that I get to do what I love every day. Often when you catch me in the foyer or office, I am managing several tasks at once and because I have a servant’s heart, I have a hard time saying “I’m super busy, can we talk later” because I don’t want to ever ignore your feelings or concerns. So, I kindly ask that you try to make an appointment using the link below or email/call me when you need to speak with me to avoid me not properly addressing your concerns or forgetting.

From the bottom of my heart thank you,

Mrs. Zuniga

Where Do I Go In The Morning?

  • Students eating breakfast (PK-5th grade) report to the cafeteria for their meal.

  • PK, Kindergarten, and 1st graders all report to the cafeteria (even if they ate breakfast at home). They will sit at their assigned tables.

  • 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders all report to the gymnasium.

  • 5th graders all report to the library.

There is supervision in all of these areas, and at the first bell (7:25) the teachers pick up their students and escort them to class. No one has to figure out how to get to their classrooms because the teachers and duty personnel assist the children and walk them to class.
