Oakland Schools Summer Digital Learning Conference
Various Michigan educators will present on a range of topics including Google apps for education, STEM, digital tools for assessment, online resources, iPad apps, teaching strategies and more. Sessions will last for one hour and lunch will be provided midday.
BONUS: A Chromebook, Samsung Nook Tablet, headphones and other prizes will be given away at the end of the day! Note: MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
Microsoft in Education Symposium
The Inaugural Microsoft in Education Symposium will be held at the Birmingham Education & Administration Center on August 19, 2015. MACUL and the Microsoft Education Team are hosting this collaborative event that will provide attendees with lots of opportunities to explore all that the cloud based Microsoft suite has to offer for K-12 administrative, teaching and learning needs! Sessions will be presented by Microsoft Education staff, Microsoft Innovative Educators and Michigan educators sharing how their schools are utilizing the amazing tools of Office 365.

June 8, 2015: Intermediate Application of Next Generation Assessments
Michigan educators will expand their existing knowledge base on Next Generation assessments by applying additional strategies, structures, and support practices through this six-hour virtual course. Participating educators will synthesize aspects of technology integration, blended learning and data collection toward the creation of a classroom-ready assessment that is grade level and subject area appropriate.
June 8, 2015: Advanced Application of Next Generation Assessments
Michigan educators with a strong existing background in technology integration and Next Generation assessments will participate in a 'masters class' through this six-hour virtual course. Participating educators will synthesize high-quality exemplars with their own portfolio of formative and summative assessments to create, implement and reflect on a Next Generation assessment that is grade level and subject area appropriate.
June 8, 2015: Professional Development through Social Media
In this online course participants will discover and explore a range of common and up-to-date social media platforms as well as establish channels that allow for powerful professional development and innovative leadership.
June 8, 2015: Personalized and Blended Learning for ALL Students
In this course, we will lay the groundwork for effective strategies that support professional growth and applications to student learning. Driving Question: How will I incorporate personalized and blended learning tools and strategies to meet student-learning needs?
TRIG 2015 State Survey Results
As of the deadline of April 13, 2015 there was a total of 763 surveys completed: ISDs(56), LEAs (532), and PSAs (175).
