Timberstone Band
Spring Newsletter
From the Directors
Wow! It's been an amazing school year! The members of TSB (Timberstone Bands) have performed several times, gone to the Zoo & Cedar Point, competed at the OMEA Solo & Ensemble Contest, represented TSJH in honor bands, performed the first ever Spring Recital, and had fun making music along the way! We are so impressed with the level of musicianship and commitment from every band member. Parents, your musicians have made this school year one of the best ones ever!
This is our first TSB newsletter and hope to do 4-5 a school year to communicate upcoming events, Silver Stand Winners, and tips & tricks to being a band parent and having a band member.

8th Grade Band
Performing for the first time in the Festival of Music at Cedar Point.
This is an adjudicated event. The kids performed for two Collegiate level Professors. They critiqued our performance and assigned an overall rating. We were awarded a Superior Rating, the highest honor possible!
Then we got to have some fun in the park! Looking forward to next year's performance!
The Silver Stand
The Silver Stand is awarded to one musician at each grade level every week. Silver Stand winners have made an amazing contribution to their ensemble and deserve to have their own, special music stand for the week.
Solo & Ensemble Contest
This event was a huge success! We had over 60 students participate. Next year, we'd love to see all of the 7th & 8th grade band members participate! All participants receiving a Superior or Excellent rating will be receiving their medal at the spring concert.
Spring Band Concert May 18
Our final concert of the year promises to be the best one yet! Wednesday, May 18 at 7:30pm at the Southview Center for Performing Arts. Student report time is 7:00pm.
