Rolling Ridge Parent News
February 28 - March 4
Well, we have another short week so hopefully, you are able to get out and enjoy the long weekend! As of right now, we are mask optional, however, if our absentee rate goes above 7% then our building will have to wear masks until our numbers are below 7% for 14 days.
If you have a child or know of a child that is ready to start Kindergarten please call the office as we had Kindergarten Round-Up on Thursday, February 24.
Rolling Ridge Information
CJ Luckey: We are so very excited that Hip-Hop Artist and Motivational Speak CJ Luckey will be Celebrating All Persevering Students at Rolling Ridge this coming Monday, February 28. Your students have been listening to his music and videos through here at school encouraging them with The Power of Yet. His mission is to encourage, empower and inspire students and educators around the world. This is all made possible by an incredible gift from one of our business partners, Baxter Auto Group.
In addition, all of our students will be gifted a t-shirt reminding them of The Power of Yet. The idea that that I might not know the answer Yet or may not be able to do something Yet. But with perseverance Yet is it possible.
We also just learned yesterday that our students and school has been selected to one of the locations for shooting the video for his latest song project titled Explore. We are thrilled for this opportunity and for CJ Luckey to be here on Monday. So please ask your student about it on Monday when they get home.
More info can be found about CJ Luckey and this tour at https://www.cjluckeycaps.com/.
Car Tags: Please keep your car tags up the entire time you go through the line so we can make sure we are getting the correct student with the correct car.
Immunization Updates: Just a reminder when you are updating your child's immunizations, please provide Nurse Amy a copy of all immunization records.
Illness: We stress the importance of having your child in school, however, if your child is sick or displaying symptoms of COVID please keep them home so we don't continue to pass germs. See the attached document below from the district. When reporting student absences please provide the reason for the students absences so that we can accurately report our daily absences to the district office.
Morning Arrival: This is a reminder that is it cold outside. Our doors do not open for students until 8:00 am and are too cold for students to be outside waiting and unattended.
