Round Table Podcast: Ep. 3
Each Friday in February, a podcast is going to be recorded at Northwest High School. That following Monday, it will go out to students and families via the PRMS newsletter. We ask that you take some time through the week to listen and discuss this podcast with your student. The following day, during SEL time, students will listen to the podcast in class and then have the opportunity for whole class discussion/reflection.

Pleasant Run Staff Member of the Year
For school year 20/21, the NWLSD PTA organization is looking to celebrate the work of our fantastic staff differently than in the past. The National PTA is not having their traditional Teacher of the Year competition this year, but we at NWLSD cannot imagine not taking the time to celebrate and honor the work of our staff in any year, let alone this year with all of the challenges our staff have faced. Please consider submitting a nomination for any staff members that you believe are deserving of recognition by February 22, 2021.
Student Support Program
The After Hours Student Support Program will run February 9 - April 29, 2021 and is available for all students Pre-K through 12th grade. Each week, parents and students will be able to sign up for a 20-minute session using our After Hours Sign Up Form. Students will be matched with a teacher who can support their needs and questions. The district will have core content teachers, intervention specialists for IEP support, foreign language teachers and even English Language staff who will be available to help provide support. Teacher availability will vary each week, but efforts will be made to accommodate as many students as possible. Once students are matched with a teacher, parents will receive a log in invitation for students to begin their scheduled session. Students are permitted to sign up for 1 session per evening per week.
The link for sign ups for the week of 3/1 can be found here:
