FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
It's turning into an annual tradition that we get a significant snowstorm during Catholic Schools Week! However, ultimately not even 12"-18" of snow can dampen our excitement for the start of Catholic Schools Week 2022! We will kick things off - weather dependent, of course - with our Catholic Schools Mass and Open House on Sunday. Families will be informed via text message alert if the Mass and/or Open House is cancelled/postponed due to the storm.
Then, Monday kicks-off our school-wide events with the start of our "Soup-er Bowl" donation drive and school Mass. All of the details for Catholic Schools Week can be found in the At-A-Glance document here, as well a detailed description of all events here. We look forward to celebrating with you!
Re-Enrollment for the 2022-2023 School Year
As communicated earlier today via email, re-enrollment is now open for current families! In order to provide current families with priority for enrollment, we strongly encourage all current families to re-enroll within the window of January 28th through February 11th. All current families who re-enroll within this window are guaranteed a spot for the 2022-2023 school year. Please note, with some classes currently at capacity, we are not able to guarantee a spot for current families who attempt to re-enroll after February 11th.
I am grateful for your continued dedication and support this year, and I pray that you will continue to entrust us with your children’s education and formation by re-enrolling for the 2022-2023 school year.
The Annual Father John V. Doyle School Auction
Save the date for our Annual FJVD Auction Dinner, Saturday March 26, 2022 at Quonset O Club, with a Silent Auction Livestreamed Kickoff Event one week prior. Proceeds will go to support the first phase of the FJVD Classroom Renovation Project: the purchase of new desks and chairs for two of our classrooms! See below for samples!
The Auction Committee is continuing to ask for donations of Gift Cards from local businesses and for other items to be used for the Auction. Our Wish Board is up and located at all three entrances to the Church, and can also be found online at http://bit.ly/FJVDwishboard.
Businesses and individuals can purchase ad space in this year's auction program and on our auction website. Ad pricing is as follows: Small $50; Medium (1/2 page) $100; Large (full page) $200. If you are interested in purchasing an ad or becoming an event Sponsor please email Jen at jennmarra@fjvd.org or call Fr. Woolley at 821-5764 if you’d like to learn more about our Partners in Education program which encompasses all our major FJVD Events.
Thank you again for all your support, and helping to make each year's auction a huge success!
Lastly, as communicated via email earlier today, the school has made updates to its bullying policy. You can find the updated policy here, as well as on our the homepage of our school website.
Stay safe and warm this weekend! God bless, and Go Saints!
