Volunteering for shifts in our SWH Canteen with Mrs. Braun is an excellent way to help prepare our students for the world of work. These opportunities help students build confidence, increase skill range, and feel successful as they work towards entering post-secondary or the workforce.

If you have trouble with the Parent Portal or the form, or if you have questions about senior high registration, reach out to your child’s school for assistance.

EIPS French Immersion Public Engagement Survey
Dear EIPS French Immersion families:
Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s public consultation about French Immersion programming. As you know, the Division is consulting school families to explore ways to enhance French Immersion programming, address enrolment pressures and increase retention at the junior high and senior high levels.
If you couldn’t make the meeting, that’s OK. You can still submit input by completing the online survey. The survey is anonymous and takes about five to 10 minutes to complete.
Survey closes February 21
The survey is also available at eips.ca
To help provide feedback, below are some background documents:
· Frequently Asked Questions: French Immersion Public Engagement
· PowerPoint Presentation: French Immersion engagement Feb. 7, 2023
· What We Heard Report: French Immersion Engagement No. 1
For more information, or to subscribe for updates, visit eips.ca.
Once all the input is submitted, Western Management Consultants, the contracted public consultation company, will use the feedback gathered from the session and survey to help the Division develop possible solutions and inform the next public engagement session.
In June 2023, EIPS will present the Board of Trustees with a report about the French Immersion engagement efforts. Any Board-approved changes will take effect in the 2024-25 school year at the earliest. Before making a decision, the EIPS Board will review all relevant data and the feedback gathered through the engagement efforts. As always, EIPS will keep school families updated as the process progresses.
Sincerely,
Elk Island Public Schools
