1. Eating disorders do not just affect teenage girls. Eating disorders can affect anyone of age, gender, size.
2. Overtraining is often a behavior found in anorexia and bulimia. Those with anorexia will overexercise in coordination with their restriction, while those with bulimia will use overexercise as a form of purging.
3. Eating disorders are usually treated with therapy and nutrition. In more serious cases, patients will be admitted into intensive inpatient treatment centers.
4. Chances of relapse is high. It is recommended that it will take 5-7 to be fully recovered from an eating disorder. However, many many sufferers succeed and become fully recovered.
