Gun Powder "Black Powder"

Why was it invented?
The invention of gun powder was an accident, when an alchemist mixed 75 parts saltpeter, with 15 parts charcoal and 10 parts of sulfur, a reaction occurred that caused many of the workers to be burned and the building they were working in was burned down.
How does it work?
With the sulfur, saltpeter and charcoal combined, it causes a chemical reaction that causes an a explosion of fire and noise like a "boom."

- Used for military purposes against the Mongols in the Song Dynasty era. They used "flying fire", an arrow with a burning tube of gunpowder attached to the shaft.
