Story Time

Once upon a time when I was just a measly freshman, I decided it would be a good idea to try out for the basketball team. I worked up my nerves and went to the first meeting where I found myself surrounded by much larger and scarier girls. Needless to say I was at a loss at what to do, but my ride wasn't going to come any time soon, so I took a seat. By the end of the experience I was very frightened of larger people and I vowed never to try out for a sport again. And that is the made up story of why I don't play sports.

The Epic Tale Of How I Made My First Best Friend

It was a hot August afternoon, recess. It was near the playground when I, the new student, saw something that caught my eye. It was lanyard string. I could not believe my eyes. I had to have some. I approached the shady character holding the magnificent strings. It seemed it was a girl around my age, her face seemed familiar. That's it! She was in my class. I asked the girl from my class if I could have some strings. We locked our eyes, and held the gaze for what seemed like minutes. Then finally, she spoke, "Sure". I accept the strings and thanked the girl. Then I put the strings in my hair and skipped away. That was the beginning of a friendship that would last a lifetime.
