🎓 Class of 2021: When we return to school on Tuesday, April 13, there will be 43 days of high school left for seniors. Encourage your student to finish strong! If you have any questions about your student’s graduation status, please reach out to the counselor. Students must pass all necessary classes to participate in the HRVHS graduation ceremony.
🏛 Class of 2022: For those interested in attending a 4 or 2 year college after graduation, it is time to do your research! Many colleges have virtual open houses going on right now. Go to the websites of the colleges of interest and sign up! Also, the deadline to sign up for June SAT and ACT are coming up. Log in to SchooLinks. Click on School, then testing to find the sign up links. SchooLinks has many resources for you to check out and we will be going through them in your ELC this quarter. We will be giving students the information to get their parent/guardian onboard.
📆 Class of 2023 and 24: Remember to make your appointment with your counselor to go over your course requests for next year. We hope to have all requests in by May 1.

Student Daily Health Screening
Oregon Department of Education (ODE) updated its Ready School, Safe Learners guidance to allow at-home health screening for secondary school students. To follow this guidance, Hood River County School District (HRCSD) requires middle and high school students to complete a daily health screening form before entering their school building each school day.
Students will have easy access to the health screening form.
Each school day at 7am, students who have phone numbers and/or email addresses will receive a text message and/or email.
Each student’s district-provided iPad will have an icon of a face covering that links to the health screening form. (see the image below)
Each secondary school website will have a direct link to the health screening form under the “Site Shortcuts” toolbar.
The health screening forms asks students to submit their student ID, acknowledge if they have any non-primary and/or primary COVID-19 symptoms in the last 24 hours, and if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
If a student has any of the non-primary or primary COVID-19 symptoms in the last 24 hours and/or if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days, the student’s parent/guardian must notify the school office.
Students are required to stay home for 24 hours beyond the end of any non-primary COVID-19 symptoms.
Students are required to stay home for 10 days past the start of any primary COVID-19 symptoms or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
Students are required to stay home for 14 days past any close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
The School-Based Health Center (SBHC) at Hood River Valley High School (HRVHS) is offering free COVID-19 tests for HRCSD students. Please call 541-308-8345 to make an appointment.
