Message From Principal Lowe
Good afternoon EGMS Community,
It is with heartfelt words that I write this letter to inform you that as of June 30, 2021 I will be leaving the position as principal of Elton Gregory Middle School, and beginning a new position as the principal of Pilot Butte Middle School. Although I will miss my work with our school family, I look forward to the challenges this new position has to offer.
It has been a pleasure to serve as the principal at EGMS since 2017, and to serve in the Redmond District since 2005. I have thoroughly enjoyed these last four years. It has been my good fortune to experience a wonderful partnership with the students, staff and families in our community.
I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you, your children and this outstanding school community and hope you know I am especially proud of our students. I look forward to hearing great things about their accomplishments as they continue their education at Elton Gregory Middle School and beyond.

Chromebook return for FTO students will be Thursday June 17th through Friday June 25th. When families arrive at the school please call the front office at 541-526-6440 and someone will meet you at the front door. Please have devices fully charged and bring the charger and chromebook case.

June 12th is National Recreation and Park Association's Family Health & Fitness Day, which is celebrated the second Saturday in June each year! This day promotes the importance of parks and recreation in keeping communities healthy.
Various research studies confirm that community parks and recreation, green spaces and time outdoors are critical for creating healthy, active and sustainable communities. As we have witnessed throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, parks and recreation has played a critical role in supporting our mental and physical wellbeing, and Family Health & Fitness Day is a great opportunity to celebrate this
To celebrate, NRPA encourages everyone to gather safely with family and friends to get active!
Community members also can participate in Family Health & Fitness Day by:
• Sharing your activities on social media using #NRPAFamilyFitDay
• Having a healthy picnic at a park
• Exploring nature outdoors
• Park and recreation departments nationwide offer year-round opportunities for families and individuals to stay active and fit.
